I have been tasked to recreate the iconic (love or hate it) sound of the syndrum. This sound was popular for lots of disco tracks (Ring my Bell) and on the intro to Baker Street - to name a few. There doesn't seem to be a software only version (or is there?). Does anybody have any suggestions/solutions on how to faithfully recreate the sound? Thanks

I could be wrong but it seems to me that Baker Street was done with guitars/basses glissando.

The Syndrum sound is quite simple, you should be able to recreate it with just any "analog" vst synth.
Use triangle wave, and adsr to control vco and filter.

I'll try to recreate it, just for fun.

I have a "Pollard Syndrum-178" folder containing the samples from it in my PC. If all your other options didn't work, just PM. Maybe can use as reference or something.
