Sylenth Presets reset when clicking play Ableton

    Hey guys, so i've had this problem for a while and its really frustrating...

    I'm loading 3rd party presets into sylenth....and the sound keeps resetting to the first sound in the bank every time i hit play...it works fine if i keep it looping, but once i hit play it resets.

    Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated :wink: thanks

    Does it happen with every sylenth instance you use or just in some cases ?

    In the later case maybe you are using midi files that have an automation that resets the bank. Here's what you can do:

    - Click in the midi clip playing sylenth
    - choose envelope
    - choose MIDI Ctrl in the drop down menu
    - check every parameter there (the ones automated have a red square)
    -get rid of them

    and you can now play your clip without having to reload sylenth

    i think its the stupid MIDI control - did you use an imported midi files? because most of them have set that a bank and subbank and this will switch presets on every new play.

    I agree that was the first thing that comes to my mind too..

    If soo zoom in on the midifile and delete the very first section of the midifile "before any midinotes appear" and you should in most cases be fine.

    Yessss, it was the stupid fucking program change parameter. Yeah i was trying to load MIDI files... apparently the people that made the files are psychic and know exactly what preset i want...every time, how did they know i use the same sound layered ontop of itself 10 times!

    Lol...jokes aside hell yeah :dancing: :grooves: :dancing:
