So I’ve recently changed PCs and moved all of my files from FL studio to my new one. When I open a project I created on my old PC all VST will load but sylenth presets that are saved on the project will not open, when opening the project it says “there was an error setting the state of the vst3 plugin sylenth1” and gives error 20 when I open the plugin itself. I can access the plugin and choose a preset but the problem is I don’t have the presets saved from old pc so I can’t manually choose it. Any ideas lads, it’s a tough one

 

Did you already get rid of the old PC? Error 20 shows to be a license error on GPT.

Have you checked any other projects where you know you do have the presets you used in the project, or is it all of them? If you know you have the presets the answer is probably in these steps. If not, someone on Windows can help. I only use Sylenth on a Mac.

1. Run as Administrator

• Close your DAW
• Right-click your DAW shortcut and select Run as Administrator.
• Try loading Sylenth1 again.

2. Reinstall Sylenth1

• Uninstall Sylenth1 completely.
• Reinstall it and activate it again. If you bought it, you should get newest version you can run.

3. Check Activation File

• Go to C:\ProgramData\LennarDigital\Sylenth1 (this is a hidden folder, so enable hidden files in Explorer).
• If there's an activation file (Sylenth1.license), delete it and re-register Sylenth1.

4. Ensure Proper Installation Path

• Make sure the 64-bit or 32-bit version matches your DAW settings.
• Some DAWs (like FL Studio) require you to manually set the VST plugin folder.
