Ouch. This is why I keep my DAW still on Windows version 1511 and disabled updates. I tried upgrading it to 1703 back when thaty was new but the performance got worse and I got pops and clicks in audio. 1511 works perfectly.

If you did not delete the "Windows.old" you can revert to the previous version

At least OSX tells you "dude, this is not working with this version of OSX... blah blah". Microsoft's style is crashing!

Must love the guys. :seriously not-serious face: They don't give a rat's arse about what happens, these days. It used to be different in the W2K, XP, and W7 days. Afterwards, they just went berzerk. MS is in shambles. Corporate minds work in mysterious ways...

 

I have been on here a number of times with windows 10 new update warnings but have been crucified an set on fire by many who praise it HAHA ;) I too have had problems on my mobile laptop workstation ... try update everything you have software, hardware and or audio drivers and all see if it helps... if not roll back an set windows to not update any new version untill all is clear with microsoft an all Devs/software is up to date... after you Roll back if you do go into Settings>>>Update & Security >>> Advanced Options>>> under where it says >>>"A featured update includes new capabilities and improvements.it can be deferred for this many days" >>>change the number from 0 to 365 days ... just an easy way to still get your security and quality updates but no upgraded disasters and this way if you change your mind at a later time jus set it back to 0 an let the new disaster begin lol

Windows 10 is cancer. It's counter-intuitive, invasive, and It took almost a whole hour just to apply the latest update on an i7 with an SSD. I had to roll it back anyway because my audio interface wouldn't work right with the latest update. My laptop came with it preinstalled, and I deeply regret not wiping it and installing Win 7 when I first got it. I'm seriously considering going the Hackintosh route for my next desktop build. Fuck Microsoft.

 

I can confirm that this procedure works even on Windows 10 creators update:
- download lennar.digital.sylenth1.v2.2.1.x.installer.2018.02.18.x86.x64-aon
*- rightclick , properties, set compatibility mode to Windows 8
*- open as admin
- install 32bit Version and Bridge via jbride

No "thank you for using this demo" nor crashes !

Are we talking about Microsoft or Microfuck/Microsuck? I agree. This is getting worst and worst. I partly blame developers that have refused to embrace Linux as an effective alternative to all the BS that the BIG 2 have been giving us for years.
