Superliquid Covers Neil Young's "For The Turnstiles"

Discussion in 'Music' started by superliquidsunshine, May 11, 2018.

    • I was feeling ok today and was home alone so had some time for mischief. I always adored For The Turnstiles but never actually played it until today, Neil Young is probably my greatest musical influence. I learned how to play the guitar and to sing harmony listening and jamming away to so many of his songs. Hope you like this version of it.

This is a winner all the way ,it is like the National Geographic "images/pics".....: they have to pick one out of a 1000 & this one feels like the ONE  in the "sound" world

  3. Cool bones, thanks for compliment and I'm happy you enjoyed it! My guitars are loving the springtime humidity and are sounding plump. The D-15M is broken in and is maturing really nicely and I have been playing it every chance I get. I am in love.

Nice to read that you felt ok (even better that we benefit from it :winker:).

That's not my favourite music, but I can't hear any mischief.

I just listened to the original version because I didn't know the song. Tbh I prefer your version. I like the slower tempo, the way you played and sang it, very emotional. And you kept the guitar sound very natural.

I'll think about the statement about my favourite music again.

@superliquidsunshine I am telling you right now, you need to stop. This trip of yours is getting old with you waking up thinking you are Neil Young, loving your dog and your dog loving you and going to the park for some doggie company. WTH is wrong with you? :dunno:

Man, congratulations you took one of my all time favorites and took it to another level! What you have done is a perfect example of how to add fresh new life into a classic while paying enough homage to the original. Excellent job.:like:

    What can I say?

I'm not a Neil Young fan but I love the way you play the guitar.

    You deserve a Bravo!
