So sorry to post yet another problem:

Some EZDrummer (and Superior Drummer) Expansions won't load, giving me the warning in the attached image that "library needs to be updated". I did use the latest version of the expansion that was available. For some expansions I only have version 1.0 and it DOES work. Also, I did see a thread with work arounds, but they didn't work. And the installation of "EZDrummer 2.0.0" was not available anymore on sister site, with other versions of EZDrummer 2 it did not work (even if more recent).

Any ideas on this? Thanks a lot in advance!

 

And yes, I have all paths and naming correct. It does show up in Superior Drummer, but it can't be loaded. Some do have the GraphicsV2 folder, some don't, and some that don't CAN be loaded. It's fucking weird, as usual.

 

SD3 convention of paths and versions is not that bad, man.
In case you have a "library must be updated" error, it means the plugin or standalone version is newer than the Libs you want to use.
In most other programs this information is stored in the registry or elsewhere an average user should not play with.
In SD3's case the information, wich version the Library and minimum Program version has is stored in a simple text file.
Thus we can edit it.

But in case of Action you don't have to because and up to date version that works with 3.3.7 is online on Sister or elsewhere (see PM in your inbox)

In Action's case the Aversion file reads:

1. line is the Version of the Lib
2. minimum EZ Drummer Version required
3. minimum Superior Drummer Version required

In the uploaded file you can see how the folder structure should look like and the actual Aversion that works with SD3 and EZD3.

If you just can't find an up to date version of a lib and some Lib do not work with your SD3 version you can try to carefully increase the version of the Lib in the Aversion text file (cave: no extension!)

First of all thank you. What I mean by it being weird though, is that I already HAD this exact version installed and it still showed me that I had to update.

Second question: What do I have to edit here? The Version of the Lib, or the minreq for Superior Drummer?
AND: Does this work with Superior Libraries also? Here I have the problem only with the "Rock Foundry" library.

Thank you for the attitude and yes, I did, and it has nothing to do with the core library, logically. Doesn't apply.

 

try Open using Rosetta. All an installer does is place the included files on the disk.

 

It wont open with Rosetta, I just get the message that "the developer needs to update it"
I started by installing the latest 3.3.7 version, no prior version, and tat works fine.
Is there a different version I should have started with to get the initial factor library?

 

3.3.7 is just an update version. What you need to install is the Core Library installer and a full application installer. It appears that it needs to be a complete installer that works for Apple Silicon machines.

I would start with this Toontrack Superior Drummer v3.2.7 MAC [Apple M1] because people reported it working from clean on Apple SIlicon machines. Then go to the 3.3.7 update from VR.

You have to get the base install working right before doing any updating. I'm on intel Mac, but from what I have read you should be able to use those versions.

Yeah I just tried that as well, but no luck getting the "factory" library working.
I think all the sources I have are bad.

Does anyone have a source they could post or pm me for the initial first library?
