I've installed SD 3.3.5 and "The Blues" (Name="THE BLUES EZX", Aversion=150) and they do like each other.

SD3 needs (graphical) informations about the drumkits - like kit layout and pictures of the kits - that were not available to earlier versions or included in the program files dir of that early versions. If we don't find a subdirectory "GraphicsV2" inside the EZX folder they won't work in SD3.

With EZX2 and EZX3 the Aversion file itself contains information of wich EZdrummer rp. Superior Drummer Version is needed to fully support the Lib.

Spoiler: Aversion for EZX3 Post-Metal reads:

1.0.0
minreq EZ 3.0.5
minreq S 3.3.3

Pretty self explanatory.

Sorry, I haven't got Plain Rock EZ3 so I can't tell it exactly but...
With EZX2 and EZX3 they used a different Aversion structure as mentioned in the spoiler above.
In This case you need to set (lower) the Version of Minreq to your current SD3 version. But I won't recommend a too much differing version. A minor version difference may just get minimal display flaws while major version difference possibly won't work at all.

I used this method succesfully several times when I had a new drumkit but not the latest SD3.

Nonetheless OC its always the best to use the latest versions together.

interesting. wonder if there is an issue with the blues ezx release itself.
