    Hey guys!

I'm really loving the new S1 3.5 update. So glad I made the switch to this DAW. I have one question that I can't seem to figure out. I'm hoping someone here can be of assistance. After a bit of playing and tweaking I got the new native zero latency engine to work extremely well. I can now record into huge sessions without disabling any plugins or switching any interface settings or any dropouts. It's a beautiful thing. The weird issue I'm having seems to be that Tape Style monitoring appears to be always on. Whether it is checked in the prefs or not, with the zero engine enabled, I can't hear playback on a record enabled track. This makes punching kind of strange, where now I would either need to switch back to the normal latency engine, or create another track just for the recording...which I guess is ok and not a huge problem...but... I thought that's what the Tape Style Monitoring checkbox was for. So when that's on, playback is muted by record enable. With it off, I should be able to hear the playback while recording. Am I wrong? Can anyone please be of any assistance with this matter. I really appreciate it :)

Yes, next to the inspector icon (i) you will see a wrench icon.. in there you can enable/disable this!
(below the song tab, top left and down a bit)

    I only know this because I watched the Groove3 3.5 tutorial ;)

EDIT: Ah hang on, I just reread your question and maybe you already tried that!

Yea for some strange reason while in zero latency mode that Tape Style checkbox doesn't make a difference. While record enabled I cant hear playback on that track. Which is the only thing keeping me from staying in zero mode all the time. Because punching becomes so difficult. I'd love to know if anyone else can re-create this problem. Thanks for the help...stumped so far.

Yeah... I was asking about this in the presonus forum the other day.
Looks like this is the behavior "by design", which in presonus language means: "yes, we know we f***** up but we just left it like that, so it's not a bug" :bleh:
    VERY annoying indeed.
One of the moderators told me the developers are looking for options but can't promise anything.

Seems like there is a couple of workarounds but I didn't have time to investigate them yet.
