I always do the RUN AS ADMIN thing to all my critical DAW and components. It's helpful. I know no downside.

I have legit S17 and legit Cubase. Both run fine so do R2R's. Always run critical apps set default as administrator as stated above - minimal issues ever.

Become an administrator of your PC, then you won't need to run it as administrator anymore; I'm a Studio One user myself.

Examplify: Add Admin Rights to a User Account in Windows 11

    Windows 11 Instructions
Select the Windows Start button, and then, select Settings.
    Select Accounts.
Under Family & other users, select the user's name.
    Then, select Change account type.
    Under Account type, select Administrator.
    Select OK.
Sign in with the new administrator account.

    i7 14700k, 192 gb ram, m2 SSDs, 4070 ti super.
System runs very smoothly otherwise. What would you recommend me look into?

If you use Omnisphere or Kontakt, you will get a substantial GUI lag from running in ADMIN mode.
I stopped using Omnisphere for a couple of years before I realised it was the ADMIN mode causing that. Read about it accidentally, here.

No, that doesn't mean it will elevate the apps you are running to Admin.

I also have Studio One—a purchased version—and Windows 11. I've never had any problems with Studio. I've never heard of having to run the program as an administrator. Otherwise, I would have seen the message about becoming an administrator and gaining full control over the operating system. Are you an administrator?

S1 is also running very reliable without using this tool. There is nothing special what you have to configure in Win11 for using S1. The only thing you have to think about when installing cracked software, specially the ones with keygen, disable in Defender the real time protection before running the keygen (or copying any patched .exe), because it creates a false virus alarm in Defender.
If you have a more or less modern and powerful PC, all other "secret" tweaks specially for DAW workstations usually do not bring you any noticeable performance improvements, but have the potential to cause other problems.

I know all these links but as I already wrote they usually do not bring you any noticeable performance improvements, but have the potential to cause other problems. Sure, there are rare cases where you can check with LatencyMon etc to identify a faulty driver that causes sound stutter or crackling noises but normally, these tweaks are unnecessary. Many of them date back 10-20 years, when PC performance with audio was still a real issue and every percentage point had to be squeezed out, but those days are now over.
If you don't have any noticeable problems with your DAW, don't touch it.

Here's someone again who thinks they're smarter than the manufacturers like Steinberg, Focusrite, PreSonus, and many others. They provide information on their websites about how to best use their software. Only user @Blowfly is, of course, smarter than everyone else; he just knows. Blowfly, why are you so ignorant and a know-it-all? I'm done discussing this with you.

Exactly, you've got it. All these tips are of little to no use, and many of them are no longer relevant. It's time to think for yourself and stop wasting your time with outdated fiddling around. Some of them still talk about mechanical hard drives, ancient BIOS options that no longer exist, drivers that you're supposed to remove for no good reason, etc., etc.

I have a PC where I have installed all kinds of DAW audio apps, photo apps like Photoshop, MS Office, games, and never “optimized” anything for DAW, and yet everything runs completely smoothly (it's a Ryzen 5800X3D, 32GB RAM, and 2 NVME SSDs, Audient ID4 USB audio interface). Bluetooth enabled, a USB webcam connected, all those evil things that are listed as no-gos in your link collection. And yet everything works fine.

Of course, it's clear that I wouldn't install all these things on a dedicated audio PC, but my example shows that it's not a deal breaker for a functioning audio PC.
