The only thing I liked about this update is "stereo panning". It had better things in the "5.5" update than this 6.0 update.
For my point of view, this should have been an update of 5.6 and 5.7 -

Another thing that may be interesting is the SideChain audio for instruments. That for example Arturia Vocoder needs a SideChain audio to instrument, maybe now it can be achieved. By the way that Arturia vocoder is incredible.

I'm with you, the best update was 5.5, it has nothing to envy to this one. Eq3? an attempt to clone Fabfilter Q3.

 

I don't use it because of that ugly flat GUI, gets me out of focus while working...
It has good potential but wasted on stupid things...
And yes it is matter of GUI otherwise, even tho I am Cubase user, for example Reaper would not give users to customize GUI how they want because default GUI sucks there also.
It is about something that will give you inspiration and pleasant feeling while you are working with software, same as with hardware.
Why I am talking this, once I had a chance to work in studio where S1 was the main DAW....
For me that lifeless GUI, lifeless tracks, midi editing, and no intuitive design, mixer small and ugly, OMG I earned there a big anxiety...

On the contrary, I switched from Cubase to S1 because of its simplicity.

 

I don't use it too. And GUI is main reason why. I'm lost somehow in Presonus Studio. But it have big potentional.

this program is by far the greatest out there.
sound quality, summing, routing, built in melodyne and vocalign. very resource friendly. Amazing.

i didnt even mention the sandbox, musicloops, groove options, timestretch, chord display, chord track, arranger, slip edit, mixer undo etc etc etc

this program is the best out there hands down.

 

I said upgrade price from v5 to v6 will be 149$. Right. Looking at changes and "new features" that's too much to pay.
Now this definitely deserves badass cr*ckin' because all I see is money grabbing from Presonus.

If you don't mind that, I think S1 is great in many ways. The most common downside mentioned is that some bugs take a long time to be fixed (Reaper updates are lightning fast in comparison).
