it is better than logic's (barely). But Ableton's fold to scale and ability to edit everything. with a keyboard is unmatched, and FL has loads of great midi features like glide.

 

Fold is already there, but somehow they decided to keep it out of midi note editore, so far it worked in drum editor only. Guess they'll fix that.
Scale was in S1 since 1st version.

You really know nothing about their midi editing tools if you say this.

Well atleast they'll have the Track Presets (like Reaper's Track Templates and Cubase's Track Presets)
- being that they can contain multiple tracks.

 

Ok, will wait and see what's coming up tomorrow. But if upgrade from v5 to v6 is $149 that would be too much.
I mean come on... I've paid $99 to upgrade Cubase 11 to 12.

 

6 Studio One versions: no Follow Main Pan
For me as a Pro Tools user,if Studio One had FMP,bigger meters in mixer window and if it was able to autoscroll in the screen to where i am in my DAW controller,it would be the perfect DAW.

What I meant by deeper Melodyne integration is being able to use MIDI to control it... Many of you might not remember that there was an old video of Melodyne once having MIDI input. Also, what I'd like (like Samplab) is to be able to convert an audio track with a loop sample to an instrument track (multi-samples of the transients [pitch and velocity mapped]) with a midi clip sitting in the place of the original audio clip.

I like S1, i pay for it. But this was ridiculous.
This is not a major update anywhere close to any 6.0

You're right, don't know how I missed that message.
I really hope there's more info about changes and new features when the official changelog realeases, like the dual pan on channels that we can see on the screenshot but it's not mentioned.
It feels like this update is targeted towards those that work with video and also mixing engineers. I think I remember a poll Presonus did like a year ago to know better the needs of the avarage S1 userbase. Maybe their plans go according the results.

i dont use to get upset on things without reason, specially on things like software.lol

but this has all the signs of being a new presonus.

this release is nothing but one thing, a way to make people with subscriptions feel they get something and keep renting

before there was no reason to not have a proper progression in development for regular customers,
now they have managed to willingly get people milked without owning shit. those people need to feel that updates are happening, and there you go. we start getting inflated crappy "updates" like this.

and presented like new years eve.. sad

 

S1 5.5.2 was the end. Still very usable, but looks like Fender have their minds on selling guitars, not software.

You guys need better eyes, honestly.

Look at the pictures.
1. Track icon.
2. Stereo Pan.
3. Some sort of Send on Fader thing or basically have an extra Box which has pan, fader, effects, sends etc, somewhat like Cubase.
4. New Vocoder plugin.
5. A de-esser plugin.
6. Better Pro EQ
7. Better Track Inspector I guess


I could have found out some more if the pictures were of better quality and properly zoomable.

First two are pretty handy though.
