Actually he meant that a huge part Cubase's code is just a protection. Plus you need to use this shitty dongle every time.

    Ok my Dear,

just for you my last of topic post.
Sadly you changed the chronological order of my posts, that way it looks of course contradictory.
So the second post was already after my self-reflection and of course I conform to it.

    Cheers dude:drunks:

Chordtrack for the win. I haven't been that impressed by a DAW presentation in a long time. But the idea of chopping drums and samples and creating chord progressions from audio in one place is simply amazing.
It would be great to leave mac, logic and maschine behind to do it all in studio on with the sampler, the drum machine and the chord track - on mac and windows.
Really thinking about switching. Can't wait to demo

Nothing funny on audiosex to read about buying software we use, nor the one that's best to us. Lots of us do it, and more than you probably think.

What's funny is sunny hasn't posted up his keygen yet. Wonder why?

Played with the demo - no upgrade for me. I wait for a sale. Maybe then. Nothing new that is a game changer for me over 3.5. V4 cant replace my main daw.
No offense I know some here are a bit let's say sensitiv - but testing the chord track ( especially audio) even disappointed me. It is, well lets say "ok" implemented, but it was totally hyped in the presentation. Real world usage? Try it for yourself ...

You're right I think. If I had enough money I wil buy Cubase.Today I'm with Studio One.But Studio One is a very good DAW too,it is a serious competitor.
And I think S1 is inspired by Cubase. They have both the same logic for me.

It is good. The new XT sampler and drum machine by themselves are really nice additions. I don't really use the chord assistant because I generally start with an already established idea, but that's something that can attract people that are used to it from other daws (logic probably has it).
Piano roll looks a bit better, but nothing extremely different (which is probably good).
I don't really like how the solo/mute/rec/monitor buttons look, now they are toy-ish and I wish I could have the old ones back.
I would also have loved the ability to make our own skins for it like we can in Reaper, that would have been a killer feature.

I think performance is still the same (for better or worse) and in the end the upgrade is worth the money imho.

The same logic shared across all daw descending from multitrack recorders.
I'd say studio one would be the lovechild of the threesome made by logic, cubase and reaper.

Have they added the ability to copy an FX with the automations yet? This is the one workflow thing that keeps me from using S1, takes too long to manually draw the same automation or go into each individual automation lane and copy paste it to a new channel.

Bummer NR1 for me, i hoped this would be fixed (or designed differently, just how you would call it):

When in MIDI Editor and you have a Scale set, transposing notes up/down using the transpose actions "nudge up" / "nudge down" ,the transposing isn't restricted to that set scale.

lol it takes less to copy the only automation you need rather than having to clear unwanted automation duplication. Anyway we're talking about few seconds for several tracks, once I had to copy the same automations I had on a bus on every channel because I had to export stems. It took a couple minutes for 15 tracks, so how bad can your case be?

BTW which daw do you use?

yes, I agree. workaround is to do transposing with mouse drag up/down, then it will snap to selected scale.

Uh in S1? Not really, I would have to open up automation lanes for all the paramaters again and then copy them, say I have 5-6 automation lanes for a synth or effect, which I often do, this takes a lot more time than it should
