Those features are dope indeed! If you ever do decide to switch i recommend getting a presonus interface, especially if youre recording;)

 

Great update! I love new waveforms. If anyone has problems with plugin scanner go to Studio One folder select PlugInScanner.exe and tick Run this program as an administrator, works on Win7

 

I use Cubase 10 pro as my main DAW and a Presonus interface 192 8 channels and it works really great on cubase but i like presonus studio one 4. It ofers a lot features and the update is free. In cubase you need to pay for beta updates. Cubase 10 User

 

I have the same interface. How come you dont use studio one for better latency, integration,etc? Or were you always a cubase user? You should already own the studio one 4 artist with the 192 and you can just get the Artist booster pack add-on for 100 bucks and you'll basically have everything you need.

More and more people encounter the same issue, and nothing works except to be online (which is problematic when you use a lot of VST from the sister site...).

what are those sounding so good 32bit plugins that are worth the hassle to be used in 2019 ?
(don't tell me it's because of that ancient cracked 32bit version of reFX Nexus v1.6 by AiR or whatever it was.. from 2006

 

watched the video, just a bunch of stuff thats always been in Cubase ;)

 

I think i got it now, it only needs to be connected to network, no need for internet, to turn off internet access change DNS server to 107.0.0.1 in Internet Protocol Version 4 tab. Or you can install Loopback adapter, go Device manager/Action/add legacy hardware/Network Adapters/Microsoft/Microsoft Loopback Adapter

Thanks for your help.
My PC is connected to the router by a cable (I don't want Wi-Fi in my house), so I just have to unplug the cable before starting S1 and reconnect it afterwards as soon as I close S1.
Simple, safe and quick.
When I read all the negatives about v4.5 (CPU usage makes Omnisphere basically unusable/glitchy as hell, multiple crashes, etc.), I will stay with v4.1.4 and wait for a fix.

EDIT: You're a genius! It works! The "Microsoft Loopback Adapter" trick is super-simple and let me unplug/reconnect my cable as before. Now I can try this new version. Thanks mate .

For one. Developer long since gone. Kjaerhus GCO for another, probably the cleanest compressor ever written. But hey, it's no problem keeping Reaper around.

 

I own a legit studio one version 4 pro but is not same as cubase pro 9 5. I have some finish projects on studio one but i work faster in cubase because of the midi. I even sold my faderport 8 channel because is to basic on cubase. I might change to SO4.5 but I'm waiting what cubase 10.5 brings to the table. The mediabay plugins is really slow on cubase.
SO4 is really fast when you drag plugins and loops.

I own Cubase Pro version 10. (mac user).
Although Cubase has a way bigger arsenal of functionality in both audio and midi area than S1,
S1 runs way more stable and is way more snappy in it's GUI and is way less buggy than Cubase (in my experience ofcourse).
Version 4.5 of S1 is a great update IMO.
I am even thinking of using S1 as my primary DAW, instead of Reaper.
I just hate Reaper's crap GUI and i do like S1's GUI way more (highly subjective, i know).

S1 is a relatively new DAW and i can only wait with much eager excitement what Presonus will implement in S1 in the future.

 

For those who write to film, or use orchestral templates, this must be a disappointment.

Still no articulation management, no expression maps, no visibility agents. Well, my money goes to yet another Cubase upgrade.

 

WIN 7 here with no issues. All you need to do is block Studio One EXE. from incoming and outbound connections. The plugin scanner will work and you are not going to get deactivated. BTW, this version scans much faster than previous one.

 

For those who like to try it before buying, 4.5 is coming VERY soon to a theater near you
