I feel bad for you @robbieeparker14. First your soundcard and now your DAW. You cant win. Sending some luck and good vibes your way.
If you are on Windows pc, A better way to monitor your CPU and help load balancing is to use an app called Process Lasso. It is the best RAM/CPU manager for windows hands down.

Yes something to do with the mouse. I was using a old PS/2 mouse to free up a usb port but ran into the CPU problem but I'm glad to say now my system is solid and stable. Now I must summon the strength to just leave things alone and don't install anything new and just make music. Thanks for your time.

@HeklaCF63 Weird, as using a PS/2 mouse can usually only be beneficial and actually help with the CPU usage. USB mouse uses more CPU, a lot more, but I'm very glad changing the mouse helped in your case, of course!

This is interesting, the Presonus power management preset. This is really nice for people who want to adjust the power settings for DAW fast. http://support.presonus.com/hc/en-u...Vista-7-and-8-Advanced-Power-Options-Settings

The only thing I find weird is they're using 99% of CPU, not 100%... I must test this wtf.

You learn something new every day, or do you? According to this post putting min/max to 99% could be the best for CPU performance for some [Microsoft...] reason. I still haven't tested it, though. Just browsing from Linux. Will do it later in the afternoon.
