this is the closer thing you can get, and use the inspector to tweak the channel instead of opening the mixer view

Got it. Not exactly what i want. It's more like ableton's "Group" feature. But i didn't know about it. Thank you.

    UPD:

This is exactly what i want. Since you can create empty folder track and pick any created bus you want, it will work as a bus track. Awesome. Thanks again.

So, where are the plugin management capabilities?

As far as I could test it, you can only add plugins to favorites and browse around recently used plugins...Am I missing something?

I was expecting to be able to actually manage my plugins on a deeper level, like changing categories, tagging, etc...

Things could be improved, but this is the easiest way. You can create your own folder/category: you need to use "effect" tab and "folder" section. There you can create folders that you like and move plugins without changing anything in your HDD

Thanks. I didn't notice you could do that.

Anyway, I believe a much better approach would be to have a "user" tab where you could create folders and organize your plugins the way you want.

Is there any way to make the channel numbers in the mixer view match the arrange view? It sucks when I think I'm raising volume on track 9, but track 9 is channel 10 in the mixer. It seems the mixer doesn't like skipping numbers. Is there any setting where I can have the numbers match? I cant seem to find it. Thank you so much.

Not using folder tracks...but, I do like to mix some tracks, then bounce them.. I hide the unused tracks. The arranger view tracks keep their same numbers but the mixer view changes the channel numbers so they stay in perfect consecutive numeric order. For instance, I could have 3 tracks visible. 4 hidden. The show/hide state is linked, so the mixer and arrange both show 3 tracks. In the arrange window, they say track 1,2, and 7. In the mixer, they say 1,2,3. Confusing when dealing with complex mixes.

Ok...so they did fix this.. I didnt notice cuz they did it backwards. A new setting in 3.1 says "show channel numbers in tracks" . This makes the numbers in the arrange view, match the numbers in the mixer view. I was looking for it to do the opposite (show track numbers in mixer instead of the other way around), more like Sonar, so I was looking in the wrong place for the numbers to change. But at least it was technically fixed. Fyi
