I have been asking in Amples forum but they are not helping.

Using Cubase's piano roll I am completely lost in getting Ample Guitar to play the Chords in the shape I need, on the frets I need and it's driving me wacko. Been on this for three weeks with no joy and its all but killed my creativity and will to carry on.

    For example E7sus4
Barre across fret 7 - 1st to 5th string (only)
    then
hold down fret 9 on the D string and
hold down fret 10 on the B string.

This is how its played and important for the tonelity of the chord.

Here's another simple one to play on a guitar (so I am told)

    An F shape

Mini Barre across 1st three strings of Fret 5
    then
    5A | 7D | 5G | 6B | 5R

I got also things like Em7, Am7, Fm7, lots of barred chords.

I cant get my head around how to translaste these (including barres) to Cubase's piano roll
so that Ample plays them in the correct shape.

In ample, no matter what I do, it will not play in the shapes I need.
Barre chords, which are really common, just seem so complicated in Ample.

I'm not asking for anyone to create the work for me as I REALLY need to learn
how to do it so any tips, tricks or suggestions please?

Read through the manual. In my opinion, you don't need a piano role in Cubase. You can do all of this in Ample Sound.

Mate. you cant do it in strummer, its like using a hammer, its a blunt tool.

You have no contol over different velocitys or lengths for the notes within the chords

Oh and as for your comment about reading the manuals, dont you think I have?

Amples manuals are well known to only cover the basics and thats it.
Same with all the tutorial videos.

Depending on the style of music, for realistic playing piano role is the only way to do it.
Strummer is for lazy chords and riffer is usless.

I appreciate you replying but do not be so condersending and try helping based on THE QUESTION
I asked, and that wasn't for "your opinion".

If you want control over the velocity and the note length, I'm pretty sure AG lets you export the chords as midi(including whatever strumming pattern you choose) and directly import it into your DAW. from there on, pretty flexible IMO, but I don't play the guitar, so I wouldn't know, TBH.
