hi,i use the low and high cut in the eq section in middle of channel settings window.
strip is set to post inserts(which is default)
is it better to have strip set to pre inserts?
i always cut everything below 30Hz on a track.

    beware:

-the channel strip, the channel EQ and all the modules are post insert by default, but you can put the whole thing in pre-insert
-the PRE-SECTION is PRE-INSERT only, you cant put it post insert in chain
(PRE-SECTION I mean filters, pre gain, and phase button, all these are pre only)

I assume you use the HP or LP filters from the PRE-SECTION, so you are acting pre-inserts

going to the mixing choice: well thats a...choice
Usually the HP filters is useful pre-insert, but it can also happen that you wanna drive a preamp or a compressor in full range so you highpass POST insert, it's rare but it can happen
