Seems like a brilliant way to make a few bucks, can someone point me where to sign up on crypto jacking side of things? Jokes aside why haven't movie companies tried to capitalize on this, possibly setting up free stream sites letting users know about the crypto-scheme as the form of payment for such services? Is there a downside, like does it slow down stream rates, bog bandwith? I googled crypto and all I got were photos of Snoop Dogg.

Wow. What an idea.

For me it also raises the notion that society is fabulously wasteful in using all the world's accumulated,distributed computer capacity to........chat, play games, watch movies, date, read forums, whatever.

Think of what all that computing power could do instead? (Mining crypto-currency is surely about the greatest waste of those resources one could imagine.)
