Yeah many REA Script plugins is awesome especially those made by the community users that is very dedicated to make the best tool they can and so is many of Airwindows tools
But when it comes to Nebula its like comparing Modeling vs Capture/Profiling of a real Guitar or Bass amplifier.
Capturing/Profiling is a little more convincing although it is a snapshot of how the amplifier sounds at that particular setting and what miced and distance you use on the miced up cab or if they just captured the amp itself.
Usually that means if you edit the EQ or Gain settings it wont react the same way the real amp would.
With Modeling on the other hand it is designed to mimic how the amplifier react when you turned the knobs on the amplifier but it doesnt really is as convincing as capturing method although it is a very litlle difference sonically you can barely hear it but it is still there.
Nebula is based on capturing method so it is sonically a little more concvincing to how a hardware sounds compared to modeling algorithmic but as with ampsim the difference is barely noticeable..

    Don't stop sharing Nebula programs!

We have more than enough of them.

We don't need more as we don't use them.

Stop creating them, stop downloading them, stop wasting your time, start using what we have.

I honestly thought sales would go up.
These libraries are reasonably priced and a dump like the one on the sister site brings a lot of exposure. I mean I use nebula only for tape and the tapes libs I like I already own.. did I download them all anyways? Are we data hoarders? Sure! And if I find a gem I would buy it.
Makes me a little sad that I was wrong

Interesting info. I didn't know that the way other people were sampling hardware was still quite different from what Acustica does.

Regarding Nebula being updated, I am aware that Nebula did receive an update recently (4.6?), but I do not consider it substantial enough.

Also, I was reading about people having issues with stability and compatibility using 3rd party libraries, and recommending to not update Nebula.

These "updates" remind me of how XLN Audio does updates. They promised updates to XLN XO after years of feedback from users, and then in the update they didn't implement any of the user requests (like adding a longer step sequencer), or make any substantial improvements!

I would consider both Acustica and many XLN Audio products abandonware, as they will only do updates to allow compatibility on new OSs, make minor bug fixes, and not actually improve their products.

I would need actual substantial improvements to the user experience to call Nebula "updated"

not really caring about Nebula stuff ...

also downloads here, never mean that people had bought it in the first place. Thats what studies show and everybody seems to get wrong.

Full nebula is very expensive, I think that limits the clientele quite a bit, if the programs worked in Nebula player I'm sure that would help a bit but alas they don't ... Some kind of cheaper alternative would work instead of full Nebula.
