I heard from a legit user that the interface is buggy as hell still.
might want to sit tight a lil bit and wait for the updates *yes*

 

I tried the previous versions, the kits sounded good but I missed the simplicity and customization of Addictive Drums. Same problem with Toontrack EZX series.

I got this on pre-release and it has since had an update. I am experiencing no probs using Win 7 64bit Cakewalk/reaper

 

I hope its better than 3.5. I mean there were some decent kits in it but almost everything sounded thin and fake. However I did like that all the kits were ready to go without massive tweaking like in EZX/SD2.

Really hope they updated the American Metal kit. 3.5's was good but could be so much better sounding.

 

Anyone knows how to extract overhead to audio channel SSD 3.5 ??? Thanks !

 

As to being buggy, I was referring to a iMac/Logic setup. Sry I forgot to mention that. (This is a mac thread.) Unsure about PC (my setup) performance. I am eager to try this puppy out myself. Im sure the "award winning" development team at Slate Digital will get all the kinks ironed out A.S.A.P.

Im really curious about their tape emu plug.

i want slate tape! but gonna be expensive, as usual *cry*.

steven's plugs are usually excellent...but ssd are samples after all, so

they may be the best at dsp, but perhaps not so good at being recording engineers
