Hi Family!

I need little help.
Any1 know, how to in the best way convert Stems to Midi? I have Synth Stem (cool plucked arp) and I need it to convert to MIDI.

Any tips'n'tricks ?

Many thanks for sharing this...its quite accurate with some recordings Ive used.

 

An expensive (or not..) way to do it is through Melodyne Editor/Studio. It's a little rough for full mixes, but gets the MIDI in the right direction. If its simple as an arp, it can definitely get it done.

 

Wow! This is a lot better than I was expecting. I've been doing a lot of sample replays lately and this is good enough for me to skip the manual playing and just tidy up the midi...damn.

Yup. Thanks. This seems to be painfully accurate on the few commercial songs I tried.
Not exactly needing it at the moment but really good to have access to, it will eventually come handy.
Perfect for ripping off all the music you ever hear and loved ;) :D

Figuring out how to set it up locally on mac will be an adventure all it's own.

I use notegrabber and neuralnote, but I'm really interested in suggestions from xorome!

 

Great, I'm going to install it locally using Pinokio, which is much easier.

 

Surprisingly, notegrabber has been pretty useful, but I've not had much success with neuralnote.

Some other decent options I use are Decoda and RipX Daw.

Continued to test muscriptor and it's a bit hit and miss as to be expected, but still a big improvement on some of the other stuff I've tried. I was learning a Andrew Hill piano part to replay for a sample remake and it ripped it nearly perfectly barring one or two notes saving me a ton of time.
