I installed Steinberg The Grand VSTi v2.1 INTERNAL (by TEAM AiR).

When it plays notes, at the end of the notes I can hear subtle but irritating clicks. I tried increasing 'Disc Streaming' value but it did not help.

Do you have any idea what it could be caused by? and how to get rid of these clicks?

If you're getting clicks........Increase the buffer on your DAW!

 

pc/mac? what DAW are you using and what sound driver are you running it with? could be latency issues (buffering), but need a bit more info

I use ASIO 2.0 ESI Juli@ drivers. I didn't experience such click problems with any other sample based instrument.
No matter what latency buffor I set, there are those clicks (even when I set 47ms latency)

Do you use TheGrand2 and don't have these clicks? If yes, what settings you have in TheGrand's 'Disc Streaming' ?

 

Distortion could be peaking to loud

 

For sure it's not clipping distortion in this case (when I play this plugin, the highest peaks are at -4dB or so)

 

is your driver up to date? ESI updated their drivers (v1.18) in July

 

I'll check the version of Juli@ drivers. But can outdated drivers be the reason of this clicking? if other instruments which have large sound libraries like Omnisphere don't have such clicking problem, and work fine?

 

Not sure it`s in ANY way related, but, my Rice Crispies also have crackles.

There is also an occasion snap and pop.
