Can anyone explain this to me? I was wanting to try the new X-Stream, but the stand alone isn't putting out any sound. It's weird because I was like hmm wonder if UVI Falcon produces sound, it did yet nothing for Halion. I made a short video on it. I don't really understand this ASIO driver crap. I try to use FL Studio ASIO in Fl and it produces no sound, only if it's set to direct primary driver.

Availability X-Stream is available for free by registering through the Steinberg website and runs with HALion 7.1 or the free HALion Sonic 7.1 update. Source: www.steinberg.net/press/2024/x-stream/

WORKED OUT : Download and install from Download Manager
Don’t open Cubase
Instead open Activation Manager, activate there…
Run Cubase, works.
Just weird that it didn’t activate from within Cubase, had to close it first…

It only works in cubase? I have Fl Studio I thought it was a Halion instrument

 

If you select an ASIO driver from the list, the ASIO driver should also be installed.

Perhaps the instrument is not properly activated.

See that's whats weird, I got it working in the VST but stand alone no sound
