Is the Steinberg Cubasis 2 v2.3.1 on the sister website only for jailbroken Ipads ?

If so,can anyone tell me how to jailbreak? Is it safe to jailbreak an ipad ?

 

Yes, only jailbroken, and even if you're lucky to have an old iOS version that is jailbreakable, you'll be limited to the last Cubasis version compatible with it.
Jailbreaking is great, it opens up lots of convenient possibilities that Apple has originally blocked for security reasons.
For example, automatic file processing and file exchange between apps and your Mac/Win machine, apps that are not permitted on the AppStore etc.
But for more recent iOS versions (and you'll wanna update sooner or later anyway), there is no 100% untethered jailbreak.

Get it, it's worth it. If you can afford an iPad, you can afford Cubasis too.

If you have an audio interface that is compatible with Cubasis LE, you can get away even cheaper. LE plus the currently reduced full upgrade are identical with Cubasis 2 except for the app icon and the full-version in-app purchase.
Check Steinberg site for a list, my Zoom UAC-8 works great with the iPad and is supported.
