The notice at the start of this topic said for Windows-7 Service Pack 1.
I thought Win-7 was at Service Pack 3 ??

 

I have some friends who use Zorin OS Ultimate for recording with their DAW and for live MIDI performance, they say it is compatible with all the windows software that they use, they also were fed up with Microscum's terrorist, criminal like spying and privacy invasion on everything you do. Zorin has several GUIs, a few Windows look-a-likes and even a Mac GUI in addition to their own. I think I will definitely give it a try very soon.

Windows XP was at Service Pack 3 not Win 7 , there was a custom non MS SP2 for 7 that was available for a while till microshit had it taken down

Amateur Sherlock Holmes, please don't go Googling "Service Pack 2 for Windows 7."
Anybody reading your post and without much experience in computers should not attempt to download ANY ISO or package claiming to be a Service Pack 2 for Windows.
First, the only official Service Pack for Windows 7 was, and still is, Service Pack 1. Second, if you don't know the source of any OS package you would be playing Russian Roulette with your system. In fact, like 4 years ago thousand of Windows 7 PC's were infected because the owner's bite the Service Pack 2 bait. Thirdly, once you have service Pack 1 installed, any update that you decide to install should be carefully examined. Its change log should be read, the users' reviews taken into consideration, and only then conclude whether it is a performance improving update worthy of installing.

 

I use a stripped down version of Win 10 LTSB offline for audio, just make it stable and forget about it. I have an old laptop and a tablet for online stuff.
