Hello, I recently bought SSL2+ and Electro-Voice RE20, but I believe there is a low audio quality issue. When I listen to the output in Windows, I only hear it in my right ear. I also expected higher quality of the audio. I only have stereo options in my control panel of the input settings. Should it be like that? I added recording from Audacity in the attachments, I picked there to use mono recording channel.

 

the actual recorded sound is not so bad, but it is recorded at something like -30dB. You have either the interface, software or mic/line incorrectly setup. It could even be incorrect settings in Audacity, if you do not normally use it. Setup everything separately if you are unfamiliar with it. Use some music files that you know are recorded correctly for your testing.

You probably will get "low audio quality" results when setup incorrectly, because you will overcompensate another parameter/value and end up with distortion.
