    Hello again
    I was just informed that the SSD I chose is not available. the
    Kingston SFYRS/1000G 1TB NVMe 1TB M.2 2280 Internal – PCI Express 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD

    they are giving me an alternative the
    Kingston SKC3000S/1024G 1TB KC3000 NVMe 1TB M.2 2280 Internal – PCI Express 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD

    I tried to find comparison between the two on the net but no luck

    please can anybody tell me what is the difference between the two
    thank you

    SFYRS = Read 73000MB/s ------ KC3000 = Read 7000MB/s
    SFYRS = 3D-NAND TLC ----- KC3000 = 3DNAND TLC, Micron. 176 Layer
    SFYRS = 800TB ----- KC3000 = 1PB

    Thank you for the quick reply
    I went with the KC3000 as it is generally a bit more expensive but they gave it to me at a lower price.

    thank you so much and happy holidays :cheers:

    Oh.
    I would have recommended Crucial SSDs as a cheaper alternative for you in your country.
    Extremely reliable for years. Buy direct.
    That's good, because they were out of stock of what you wanted.
    So maybe you were blessed.

    In your country, I would have suggested Crucial SSDs as a less expensive option.

    Use crucial 500 g or 1 Tb and you will never look back again.

    I am using Samsung 870 QVO and It is a QLC NAND SSD with a SATA interface. The unit I received is the 1 TB variant. It has a 1 GB of DRAM cache and about 42 GB of SLC cache. Samsung (samsung qvo ssd) rates the read/write speeds of the drive at around 550 MB/s, but neglects to mention that you'll only get these speeds within that 42 GB cache.

    Stay away from Crucial SSD's. I own 6 SSD's from different manufacturers and the only failure I've ever had is with a 500Gb Crucial SSD. I've also seen a number of other posts complaining about Crucial SSD failures.

    You cant say that, had a Samsung EVO 250GB 850 dying after 1 year. All data was lost. (daily used the computer, was boot drive)
    And Samsung EVO's have a good rep.

    Well, that is my personal experience, and you could call it a fluke but as I mentioned I've seen a number of posts complaining about failures of Crucial SSD's.

    but maybe its just one specific SSD, which has a higher production failure. Would help me to write down, which specific failed instead of a broad generalized statement.

    No problem with Crucial AND Samsung on my side.
    Check if you see some discount online for them :wink:

    I use 2 ADATA NVME for now.
    No problem too.
