    Hey guys

I was experimenting with Square wave type sound for a chord instrument, to replace the usual supersaw and I came up with this :

in sylenth1 in part A the first OSC was set to a square wave, no detune and the re trigger on. 8X voices
Second OSC square wave, good amount of detune, no retrigger,8X voices and +1 octave.

In part B, first OSC Sawtooth with moderate detune 8x voices no retrigger
and second OSC sawtooth With high detune, 8 voices, no retrigger and one octave up.
Mix the OSCs and it sound sound pretty good.

My issue is that I was trying to make a old video game-y kind of sound, similar to 8-bit, but this doesn't sound like it.I thought that maybe some bit crusher would do the job but i don't have any VSTs that can do that, at the moment.

Do you guys have any tips on how to turn it into the sound i wanted ??

Sylenth's "half square wave" and "25% square wave" are some examples. But you can't modulate their pulse width.
UHe Hive can modulate its plulse width, select PWM wave on an oscillator and modulate it with a LFO or envelope or whatever you want.

But I don't think you'll get old video game sounds with supersaws.
