Spotify is profitable for the first time in 17 years Spotify has turned things around. For the first time, the Swedish streamer can report entirely positive annual figures. He also has more subscribers than ever.

 

Well there's a lot of military types popping up across Europe pushing the narrative that Russia wants to take the whole of Europe, with Scandinavia being one of the front lines and an early target. I can see the paranoid elite idiots falling for this scare story.

Obviously, this is the military industrial complex milking the Ukraine situation for profit and I bet much of this tech will gather dust or be abused by governments.

Reality check and some very simple math. Ek is a billionaire.
If ANY person earned $5,000 per day every day of their life, they still would not have close to a billion dollars.
I cannot and will not defend anyone who made their money exploiting musicians, writers and composers, who is now reputedly making A.I. tunes and could not write a good tune himself if his life depended on it.

Of course, one could start a group calling for a boycott of Spotify. Perhaps if a lot of people join and customers drop out, they'll react and invest in Agraland, for example. But expecting people to just get upset and do nothing, as always, won't change anything.

Worth pointing out that we all invest in weapons of war, none of us is innocent.

 

"€600 million investment in AI military defence" sounds like a very expensive anti-virus & spyware/malware software package to me.

Defence not offence, so this is just a fancy way of saying anti-hack stuff bought.
