I checked out several C0-A0 bass samples on Chamber and Symphonic libs - no match as far as background noises go. In all 3 mics.
F1 on symphonic basses has distinct crack in the background, no such thing on chamber.
I can't tell you the filenames as they're cropped in the wave editor :(

background noise proves nothing as SF record most of the time in Air Studios . dont tell me you can hear it with your ears if it is the same samples . warez librarys most of the time dont have the latest updates and improvements most of the time either . you didnt proved anything exactly except that you dont have buy those librarys but complains about , or did you have ask spitfire themselves ?

Today's sample libraries are eq and comped together samples from a competitor's samples, that sampled his samples from a sampled sample.

Both still use scripted Legatos. And their Samples are from the early 2000s.

If in two similar kind of samples, coming from two different libraries, you can hear, for example, the same cracking chair followed by another distinctive noise which occur at the very same moment in the two samples, then you can be 99% sure the two samples are coming from the same take.
Now if you claim to have never been able to detect a cracking chair in the background noise of any high-priced libraries, I suggest you to take an appointment with your ENT.

Of course he have the right to have a opinion, and be critical. You dont need to buy something to be critical about it.

Did you bought everything you have an opinion about? Really? ... Come on ...

Gee, you make it hard to hammer home phloopy: it's either another thread, another issue, another motive, another site LOL does it not end?
Meanwhile the principal stays the same:
It is unwise to treat people the way you did regardless of where you are.
My intention is good, the message is that audioz and audiosex is our home and as such, we ''should'' do our share to keep it clean.
Let's not play another round of getting tangled in technicalities to avoid the subject. I am sure you got the message.:)

Strictly speaking, no that wasn't evidence. Something like spectral graphs would have been. I did test only limited set of samples and that comparison was purely subjective.
There were more differences, such as in the stereo image.

    But this:
doesn't seem entirely true, now that there's even small subset of tested samples that aren't derivate of each other.

Did anyone notice how the EVO grid libraries sound a lot alike?
That's what got me wondering.I found the trailer and concept inspiring, but in practice, I realized that for the size, it sounds almost all the same.
I'm still excited though when one of their libraries show up, I always try it out, I have had good moments with some of their material, particularly brass, some orchestral and some of the Albion series. I really like the idea of the ultimate in ''British'' sound colors and ambiances and the cool pics. There is something special about Spitfire audio, something really good, very good to explore:)

Nope... I never gave them any attention because the concept was/is totally odd imho.

    I really don't get it.. :wow::wow::wow: ?!

Why do you need to play forensics, when apart the fact that it's written all over the internet, even SF in their press releases inform you that the samples are the same!

    Quotes:

"...Well, with the highly praised original sample collection of the Mural range under the hood – which by the way was awarded “Best Sample Library Of The Year 2014” by Music Tech magazine – what could have possibly gone wrong regarding the sound of Symphonic Strings?..."

"...Again, Spitfire Audio managed to revive and condense a successful range of libraries into a new one with a contemporary approach. A great deal of the brand’s magic lies in the playability of their instruments, the ease of use and the tonal variety of the recorded material.

"...Although no new sample material is included, Spitfire Audio effectively took a renowned product and even stepped it up on notch. The smart programming of not only the performance legato patches but also the multi-articulation instruments makes it a breeze to come up with convincing and great sounding string arrangements..."

    -source: theaudiospotlight

"...We have taken Mural 1, 2, 3, Ensembles & Evolutions off our shelves.

After nearly 4 years of hard graft, we’re proud of what we consider to be the definitive selection of Symphonic Strings Samples. However, having this broad selection of tools spread across different volumes does make for complications. We also found that without unifying the main body of work, we were unable to take advantage of articulation sharing between the different volumes for greater functionality and ease of use..."

    -source: spitfire

Of course it's OK if a company recycles raw samples as long as they state it.. A library is not just about samples. It's also about shitload of new programming, GUI, aso, aso...

For fucks sake just make a video demonstration already.

Personally I don't use commercial Spitfire libraries because they're too heavy and annoying to work with. Now if you could prove that they pad their libraries to make them appear bigger...

I came with the «cracking chair argument» in the sole purpose to demonstrate to TinTin that it's possible to detect similarities in background noises, not to argue with Andrew. So please do not inclued me in the bunch of usual hecklers. Thanks.

Offtopic cleared, please let's stick to the theme.
I checked more samples as instructed by OP, and could not find a match so far even in LCO patches. Anyone who has a definitive example of the contrary is welcomed to come forward.
