Spitfire Audio Albion 1 vs. Spitfire Audio Albion I REDUX V.5.0

    Hi all.

    Sorry but I have a problem: I can't understand if "Spitfire Audio Albion I REDUX V.5.0" is a more complete version of "Spitfire Audio Albion 1", or I must have necessary "Spitfire Audio Albion 1" installed in order to use "Spitfire Audio Albion I REDUX V.5.0".

    I've carefully read also the official Spitfire site, but I haven't found this simple information.

    And what do you think about "Spitfire Albion Volume II Loegria" and "Spitfire Audio Albion III Iceni", as I'm looking in particular for valid single Low Pitched Brasses?

    Platoon. Spitfire audio 1 is the older version of albian. They’ve just released a refurbished copy. However, the redux versions are the most up to date versions of their libraries. So in this case, Albian I redux 5.0 is the latest version of the older Albian I.

    Hope this helps.

    Also, Redux is not an update, it’s a whole new package in itself with brand new scripting and sample updates.

    Thank you very much @djdarkness , quite clear, perfect... Also the name is misleading, because IMHO the word "REDUX" could be interpreted as "Reduction", couldn't be?

    My biggest pleasure platoon! You will be doing yourself a massive favour by investing in any Spitfire audio products. They are by far some of the best you’ll ever get to use, like being a conductor for a real orchestra.
