    Hey guys (and girls),
I decided to create a new dark Skin for Reveal Sound's Spire
cause all skins I've seen so far didn't look like a skin I want to use.

Instead of recoloring the original files I decided to create
all images on my own from nothing but a blank layer.

Here is my unfinished mockup with all basic buttons, wheels, etc..

This one took me about 20h until now. Every single button is a group
with about 5 layers and the main.psd file contains nearly 370 layers.

Here you can see the creation of one of my knobs:

I've also written an installer (in the beginning just for me alone)
using Inno Setup which includes all available SoundBanks and installs
    the x64 & x86 files
and when I've finished my skin, I'll upload it as a comlete package.

    Here 2 screenshots:

What do you think about this project? Do you like it?

    Greetings, r4e

What do you mean with "thing"?

    The skin?
Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 (15.1.0.148) and Resource Tuner Console 1.93 (Demo Version)
to recompile Spire.dll with the new graphics

    The installer?
    Inno Setup 5.5.1 Unicode

    with the following plugins:
ISSkin 3.0 (with a self-made skin based on an old WinXP Theme)
    InnoCallback 1.0
    DescCTRL 1.0
Bass 2.3.0.3 (for the music and my little music player)
    botva2 0.9.4.126
    SkyGz WaterLib 1.0.0.3

    And my knowledge ;)

That's personally the best skin I've seen for Spire. Although I have liked some of the other skins out there, this one is definitely one that suits my personal tastes the best.

Its sometime I'm thinking from time to time that I want to make my own skin for spire (maybe keeping orig. knobs, too much work :grooves: ).
I have to say I don't feel the need to make my own anymore, yours is the best skin I have seen till now for spire, and it's somehow how I imagined my own skin should be.
Love dark grey/black + blue themes, so easy on the eyes for working in the dark. Love it, keep up the great work mate, it's lovely.

hey look, it's a fellow German on Audiosex! greetings from Baden-Württemberg buddy!

I love the skin, I always thought the standard Spire skin was a bit too cluttered! Keep it up! Will you make this an exclusive audiosex release? :D

I hope so too! The next 2 days are my free days this week so I have a bit more time
    to work on it.

    German:
So ist es aber ich schreibe hauptsächlich in englisch-sprachigen Foren
und solange ich keine Screenshots hochlade, fällt das auch meist niemandem auf ;).

    English:
You're damn right but mainly I stay & post in english-speaking forums
and as long as I don't upload screenshots of my work, no one will notice it ;).

Thanks for your compliments! I also love dark/blue themes and most of my work
is colored like that but maybe I will release this skin in several colors instead of blue.
Red and green instead of blue does look lovely too ;) (hm, a rhyme)

    Will see ;)

Thanks to all others who posted nice stuff :)

    Now I have to work.
    Greetings, r4e

    Compliments for your new Skin.
To me personally it looks too dark, tiring on my eyes because there
are not enough contrasts between text and background.

I know how much work this GUI can make as they didn't make it easy to re-skin.
I'll definitely stay with my Dark Ebony Skin (published @ AudioZ).

    Too dark is no problem.
Maybe I'll include a background-Only psd file with transparent sections so all can add the background they want to
get it a bit lighter but atm it's a big mayby cause I don't know how to realize it without giving you all my work
(layer-settings etc.) for free. Another option would be this thread (or a PM to me) where you could upload
the BG you want and I would include it as a kind of personal skin for you but at first I have to finish the
    skin itself ;).

Some possibilities: (don't criticize the colors of the fonts, buttons etc, it's just a quick example)

Cool, the green and blue versions look better to me.
I use a MAC, would you provide skins for mac too?

BTW: I can speak German too!

I never worked on a mac except a virtual MacOS in VMware Workstation to try out Logic and the FL Studio CrossOver release.
I'll see what I can do but since I have no clue how to edit any kind of mac-files instead of looking inside with a hex editor,
I think for mac users I'm only able to provide the finished png-files.

The finished PNG-files are more than enough!
Installers for Mac are very complicated to create, and if so they might be buggy for many people.
However making skins for Mac is much easier than for windows, as with a single click one can view
and replace the contents of a Plug-In.
Spire images have this prefix + suffix on Mac:
    bmp0000.png

    Little Update:
I nearly finished the skin - just have to do some final adjustments:
    ● The knobs didn't run as smooth as I want but I'll correct that
    ● I have to cut some shadows to finally look like not cutted ;)
    ● ye, I think that's all

But atm I don't have that much time so please don't judge me if
teh final release will need some more time ;)

    Have a nice day!
