Hey guys, so I decided to move forward and update to Logic X and I am having issues with running the Soundtoys 32 bit plugs with 32lives. I am on Logic 10.2.0 on OSX 10.9.5. Is there a version out there that actually works through the 32-to-64 wrapper on Logic X? Thanks

I haven't used it in Logic X, but 32 lives, with the above mentioned link, works great for me in Ableton… You might want to run the AU force validation tool found over at the sister site….

 

Soundtoys are tricky, but they work!
Sometimes a lot of reescans are needed.

Not working, all DAWs crashing.

 

If you are on the latest version of 32Lives, try to downgrade. Had other issues with 32L and that did the Job for me. If not on the latest go the other way around ;)

 

Seems that they fail validation, but if you check them, they will work actually (at least some of them), take this with grain of salt, it was long time I guess and I even asked this on AZ and got answer like this

They will appear in failed folder or something like that, not in Soundtoys

 

Looks like soundtoys website is in maintenance mode. Perhaps they will finally release version 5 (with 64 bit).

 

Try the Au Force validation tool again. Sometimes you have to disable and enable a couple times in series to get5 it tow work, but 32L and AU Force does work for me in LPX on Yos and El Cap.

They have I was just downloading the 800+ mb demo, but I turned it off, got bored watching it d/l

 

v4 was already 64 bit

have been waiting forever for this! thanks for letting us know.

 

Sound Toys native v4.0.2 works better than the later version v4.1.1 k'd, i've experienced. wrapping v4.0.2 with 32 Lives into x64 bit, results in only like 4-5 out of the 7 or so, to actually work. also, after a bit of time (depends how long, for you), they all may stop working, even though most of your other 32 lives wrapped plugs still work. not sure why.

sometimes removing the previous x64 wrapped versions from plugins folder, scanning logic to not see them, then re-wrapping them with 32 lives, and re-scanning logic - will show up again ok. sometimes...


other solutions, anyone?

 

Cheers guys, got Echoboy working with the force Au validation tool and 32 lives. The others don't seem to like the ugly things I did to them.
