Kind of an underwhelming response but i myself as an avant-garde musician that lives in the wrong culture for any music that doesnt sound like everything else - or isnt rap and uses mac this public beta is sweet!
Of course someday should i make money with my music i will have to end all the extended fully functional demos i am using and purchase whatever software i actually use and i have been very curious about soundtoys but unable to really sink my teeth into them - although i just found out they have a generous 30 day trial - still i for one appreciate the opportunity to become familiar with these items as i have a feeling they like melda khz blease blue cats and a few other companies products will end up being go-tos blease actually being pretty damned high up on the list great plugs they make lol

AGAIN THANKS TO SOUNDTOYS FOR THE FREE PUBLIC BETA DOWNLOAD FOR M1 MACS, IF NO ONE ELSE SAYS IT - YOU GUYS ROCK

Sorry but As A Owner Of Soundtoys 5 since 2015, I am a little disappointed in how LITTLE has been updated or released in that 7 years. Congrats that have now got VST3 but the interfaces look 10 Years old, very few updates or changes since I bought it 7 years ago, and no new programs in that time. I own many plugs from many companies and ALL have probably been improved 10 Times in 7 Years, with Soundtoys (yes they are good programs but) where's the innovation? You cant stay in the 2010s forever, saying these programs are good, so let's not do much for the next 10 years. Sorry but I think you are capable of much more and I'm disappointed that you don't try to reach your full potential.

When you are making gigantic amounts of money, and year after year, the cash flow (or rather, cash flood) never seems to stop, well, you sit on your chair, you grab a big cigar, and on your left monitor, you connect to your store backend, and stare at that total sales counter, that keeps increasing.. and increasing... and on the right monitor, you display the 3d view of your future house, or your future car.
Because sales never stop, why even bothering creating new stuff...

Look at Serum. Several years after release, there isn't a single day, at the sister site, without another 2..3.. or more serum soundbanks. Sylenth1 had over 1000 soundbanks... but serum.. I wouldn't be surprised if there existed at least over 1500 serum soundbanks released.
What do those soundbanks mean ? Well, it means xfer records might have sold, not 100k...not 200 or 300k... but probably over 500k serum units.
Serum costs around $189. Let's assume, with discounts, offers, etc, serum costs an average of $150 or 150€.
500'000 x 150, that makes 75 millions. Yes, some serum modules were made by other guys, and they probably take 1% here..2% there... let's assume he keeps 90% for himself. That's 68 millions. Now, let's assume, because he is quite smart, he has register his company in a state where taxes are lower...he pays 15% taxes (Adobe pays 14.xx%). He still gets 58 millions.
Now, let's imagine he only did HALF of those 500k sales, 250k. He still gets around 30 millions.
Now, let's not forget he also sold(and so sells) Nerve... and pretty much each daw used in the world owns lfotool (I personally bought chtulhu, over 10 years in advance over 1-note-1 chord apps like scaler or chorder).
This to say the xfer Duda guy, a super smart guy, has in his bank account at least 50 to 70 millions.
WHY would he stress, and not sleep at night, just to release another product... and another product.
One day, a guy asked him if he would ever create a kontakt like sampler... and he replied, he would never create a product that already exists 1..10..or 50 different versions.
He could still release , eg, a delay plug-in, with a couple of new features, sell it for $39..and he would still sell 100k units. But no. The cash keeps coming... and coming.

Soundtoys...anyone who purchased it, should be expecting to get AT LEAST a new effect, per year. That's not too much to ask, for a company that probably sold over 100k copies, at 500 and $250.
Because they don't release any new products, and the current ones work bug-free, their devs should have plenty of time to code 1 fukin plug-in per year. But no.
And I would bet 1 trillion $ that the culprit is... apple.
Yes, apple. I would bet everything I own, that the apple dev alone swallow at least 70% of ALL time... for maybe 10 or 15% sales!
New Mac version this..New Mac version that.. New cpu this..New m1... New m2...when devs finally have updated all their plug-ins for the OS version x.x, another OS version is coming, within the next 3 months. Over and over and over.
Is not like they code a windows plug-in, and apart for bug fixing, they don't need to change the code, for the next 2..3..or even 5 year. On Mac, devs are permanently, eternally, upgrading their plug-ins for this new Mac OS.. the new Mac feature.. the new cpu... over and over.
Developing for Mac probably requires 70 or 80% of all the available time... and all that effort, for just 15% or less, of the total sales.
So, this could be a reason why some companies don't release new products. Apple take almost all the dev time available...

I knew a guy who would short the stock of every company that bowed down to the idol of LGBT and discriminated against employees to meet race quotas (disgusting).

He made a FORTUNE as they all went down the drain.

So at the end I've tried vst3 ok this work, but I would prefered oversampling, maybe some new innovation or plugins, I think they are plugins developers, they need to stay neutral, if I want to help people I go to downtown and help directly people, not donating to an plugin developer compagnie who don't care about people who need help in my town (Toulouse here) so to me they need to work on they own business (plugin making) instead of taking political position and direction.

I don't care about their political vision, I care about music and good plugins. I'm currently trying the beta and it's been working so fine, what really bothers me is the lack of feature updates. It's crazy, everytime I open one of their plugins I feel like I'm back in 2012, and I didn't even produce back then.

At namm they said they've been focusing on moving all their customers accounts over to a new system. Apparently it's a huge time consuming job. Not sure why they didn't just hire another company to do it. Maybe they didn't want customer data in the hands of another company? Who knows.

Spent straight 4 years working his ass off making Serum. He didn't use JUCE or any other such framework with goodies. Imagine how much rewrite Serum VST3 will need if its ever a possibility. He deserves all the money.

Similar story of Sylenth1, still sells, quite basic for 2022 but nothing is as easy, accessible and CPU cheap with tons of presets available.

Soundtoys has crappy GUIs, slow loading plugins (not as slow as Arturia tho). Yet it made ton of money selling little alterboy. And actually it turns out Manipulator (Polyverse) does a better job at what Little Alterboy did for stereo vocals

Bro, soundtoys is vintage... Vintage is all the rage now. But besides that for what these do there really is no V2 that could be logical

So, still no oversampling? WTAF. That snake-oil guy is going to have a live meltdown on YouTube. Hish whining will prolly sound better than Soundtoys' plugins. Will anyone use them, even as freebies?

There isn't such a thing in the digital realm.

I'm really hoping for that type of upgrade, even tho there's a good bunch of hit songs that were made with tons of Decap instances. There's no running away of aliasing in the digital realm, I'm afraid. But I'm confident they can do better.

Their pioneers left the company a long time ago and there will be no new plugins anymore.
Currently, Sound Toys only has a marketing department.
