sounddesign tools and modulation help

    Hey guys,
    Im looking for some tools to design my sounds. By that I mean distortion, filters and such.
    And how about some synths. Right now Im trying out Massive, but honestly, I prefer FAW Circle.
    What other synths can you recommend?

    And lastly, do you guys have any tutorials or something on modulation. I can get some decent sounds, but modulating them is a very different story.

    Try the Soundtoys plugins, might be what you're after...

    dude Massive is all you need if you want Distortion =)..IMHO

    sorry im not used to FAW.. hehe im also an Amateur on Sound Design..


    you have
    1.Scream option on Filter Section..
    2.Ring Modulation and Phase Modulation on Modulation Osc..
    3.You have the Feedback..you can re route in to have more option.. (Nasty hehe )
    4.Apply Noise
    5.Massive has a lot of Nasty Waveform itself
    6.Bitcrusher on the Insert
    7.Etc etc etc...

    About the Tutorials on Modulation. Richard Lainharts Advanced Synthesis ..Tutorial on Macprovideo..

    Meldaproduction has some modulation plugins. MAutopan, MVibrato, Mtremoto, MRingModulator.

    Yes and multiband options too

    Grm tools,ohmforce,expert sleepers,soundhack are other developers who make such plugins and many old plugins from the early days of vst development was just for trashing sounds

    Dev:s like toby bear prosoniq etc made many plugins for that purposes

    My advice is do a search in the kvr plugin dataregister there you can find what you want

    For distortions, try Ohmicide.
    For filters, here are a few free ones.
    For synths, there are a ton of them out there. For clever LFO routing (and nice control interface) try/buy Vember Surge.
