Those are quite strong words used against someone you've never met and have had no conversation with previously.

I can appreciate a divergence of opinion, but kindly keep your opinion about me to yourself. I've never attacked anyone, or debased their intelligence or eyesight previously on here, and I don't care to either, partly because I don't feel as strongly as you do about the topic discussed, and partly: manners and kindness.

Kindly read your words again, aloud if you're alone, and feel the spiteful energy behind them.

I've literally just bought some new backup drives, but before I did I thought I'd check out how the cost compared to cloud storage. As I've bought IronWolf Pro drives I fully expect 5 years service out of them. Realistically though I'm more likely to get upwards of ten years or more as they're backup drives and not in continuous use. Having assessed cloud storage costs, it turns out that it's roughly equivalent to 5 years usage, but if, as is likely, I get ten years or more then the cloud costs would be double the purchase price (that's taking into account I have duplicate backup drives of all my important data, plus a "working" drive). The key thing however is that I retain complete control over my data and it's also WAY more convenient.

With that argument, there's a clear winner and it's not the "legal" side. With the length of time it takes to enter into and win a massive corporate case, vs the speed of tech-development, the data scientists AI babies will already have grandchildren by that point and probably have taken physical form and be walking amongst us...

Ha, that reminds me of the "Top of the Pops" albums that were released from the 60s to 80s. One of which I sadly acquired as a child and was appalled by.

Their cover designs were certainly interesting...



Which, for some strange reason, appears to have a selection of photos of extras from "Carry on Camping" on the cover.



Whereas this one from '85 looks to have employed Wonder Woman's stunt double.

Surely you meant "minimum reward, least amount of effort".

I should AI (steal) the fuck out of that particular lyric.
