What do you want from FREE account? It's ok to have some restrictions like that, also "hearthis" (and "soundcloud") has one big advantage: audience. But you can try "jamendo" or "baboom" (or something else) - "hearthis" is not the only alternative ;)

Heartthis will just delete your remixes as fast as soundcloud. Been there, done that. Deleted my account afterwards.

 

Soundcloud will stop free plays until end of the year and becomes a paid only streaming service.
You better switch fast to whatever competitor you like.

It's all about reach. There may be platforms that outperform soundcloud in terms of features and user experience, but it's all pointless if there is not the same amount of listeners you can reach via soundcloud. Same with youtube, or itunes.

 

It's a nice site. Every useful resource for musicians is welcome.

 

Exactly. And if nobody listens it's useless and a waste of your own resources (primarily time, energy).
