Youtube is better for that purpose - unlimited uploads and it neatly integrates with Facebook when posting links with audio or whatever you like. Copy.com still has no app for that. Must admit that 2h limit on soundcloud sucks but that's basically ad-free service supported by pro accounts.

    ???

The cheapest premium-account (now called "pro") costs 29 € per year, exactly like before.

What sucks on soundcloud is the shitty quality of the audio-streaming.
Still there is no real alternative to it (yet).

Maybe shitty where you are. I actually have no complaints on the streaming quality. And that's a good price for a year! You think their system runs on oxygen?

It doesn't depend on where you are.
The streaming is always 128 kbp/s, which by today's standards is shitty quality.

I didn't say if 29 € is a good price or not - that was a response to your claim, that "souncloud got a LOT cheaper", which is simply not true.

Maybe you should inform yourself before posting pure nonsense.

Well here's a tip. 128 sound better when transcoded from lossless by SoundCloud. Sounds worse when MP3 or other compressed format is uploaded.

I know that, but thanks anyway.

Doesn't change the fact that 128 kbp/s is really an unnecessary choice in times of HD video streaming...

They could easily make it 192 kbp/s, that would make the file only a little bit bigger, but the sound quality a LOT better.

They should have improved on that, when making the "new" soundcloud.
But instead they decided just to change the layout and the graphics, and messed a lot up, in my opinion.

I just backuped my shit from it.

It was a neat cloud site. We still have Box, Dropbox, Zippyshare... I prefer Box.

    Here
Copy is being discontinued on May 1 of this year, unfortunately.

Hightail Spaces is a new cloud service I use. At the free-service level, one can have up to 250MB uploaded to a "space," but have as many spaces as one wants. Files can be played or downloaded on the page (or the app); comments can be left; assigned collaborators can replace the files (for group projects, as with Box.com), and so forth. It can be used for sharing archive files such as .zip or .rar. And the interface looks cool, with waveforms and all.

I have just registered, uploaded m4a file, it doesn't support online play of m4a only mp3,
    Thanks for though!
My mistake, strangely mp3 doesn't play but m4a play, I think something wrong with my files or compression, it doesn't seam they allow for example artwork on a file it-self are they!?
