    Experience and tweaking.

There's never a single way to make a sound, it's almost infinite.

Start experimenting, maybe presets can be a good place for the two you mentioned, check the parameters used.

Otherwise it's just browsing the internet skill, all up to you.

The tutorials (available on other site) for using any particular synth will usually give a lesson on each of bass, pad, pluck. Also YouTube is v good.

Find a decent synth, put ""How to make a pluck using XYZ synth" into YouTube and off you go. ;)

You shouldn't need many tutorials for different synths as the principles are essentially the same. Different types of synthesis demand different approach, but it's all the same thing, really.

I'd recommend Sylenth to get a good handle on it, but whatever, they all can do it?

Info is all around. There's not a one way route to sound design.
Try reverse engineer presets, experiment, make mistakes (and happy accidents).
