Anyone knows about this bug in win 7 ? I found this video and it seems that everyone has this problem on their win 7

Mine gets pretty messy sometimes (most likely if not always the left channel would be much louder than the right)
I'm using the built in card btw, will this be gone if i would use an external soundcard ?

The built in cards are cheap and should definitely be replaced if you're doing audio or even gaming.
An interface is easily a better choice.

Yeah, but this looks like an issue with windows itself

It's been years and years since I even used windows own volume slider. I've had dedicated audio interfaces for 16+ years now.
Also, I'm not sure what's going on or what the bug is.

Never been aware of this bug ???
I use the internal audio for listening music, Youtube clips, watching movies... the line out goes into the external mixer, and than into the PA.
I use the windows standard volume slider a lot when I have a hand on a mouse, instead of reaching for the external mixer; but I never noticed any problems ???

For audio applications, obviously, I use an audio interface, because of ASIO drivers and latency .

Even when i used the onboard card.
I use the Delta1010LT now,no problems with that or with audio in windows as far as i can tell.

I never use the Realtek that is built in to my ASUS board. Sounds good but I got tired of running it out into a dedicated stereo system. Took up too much space.

I run everything [music, Youtube clips, movies etc] out through a very old M-Audio Omni Studio into a small 1200 Watt Mackie PA that lives in my living room. Works for me.

I see no reason ever to use the windows mixer.

Living rooms are for living in. I have a large living room, used for rehearsal, recording & getting superbly herbed & drunk. It also has a weight bench. [My wife & I live in different houses :suicide:]

Besides, folks around here don't live close to each other. If you can't walk outside naked & take a piss, you live too close.

I don't experience this bug. On the other hand, I don't use onboard sound.
