sort by name does not default in my folders

    i always have to sort by name for all folders, how do i make it default

    on mac, when in the folder, go to the top of finder, select view, show view options, then select sort by:name, and set as default.

    Not sure how to do it on PC, but id imagine its something similar.

    Open a folder of those files, then set the folder layout and sorting the way you like it to be, then on the View Ribbon, click Options.
    On the resulting dialog, select the View tab, and click 'Apply to Folders' and apply that setting.
    Close File Explorer, wait a few minutes and check if that sorting and layout has been saved.
