I need a user's opinion, please. I could jump the gun at that price, but it is that worthy?

Along the years I've spent money I've regretted, like Slate VMR. i have it uninstalled now. Some purchases I'm enjoying a lot, like Sonible plugins. If it saves time and effort to focus on creativity and getting off the computer sooner, I'd be happy to buy.

I have Soothe2 and Spliff. Got them during their Black Friday event. I like them, for ME they’re worth it, might not be the same for others. Best advice I can give you is to get the trial and give it a shot on your drum, keyboard, vocals, etc. if it doesn’t impress or make your work easier, delete it and move on. It’s value is in can only be rated as it applies to YOUR music, no one else can tell you that. I will say that I haven’t seen them priced less than that.

I have Soothe and Spiff (since Black Friday, 2 years ago), and today I buy the upgrade for Soothe 2.
These are 2 of my favorite tools in my toolbox, and for me, the Soothe's update is really fantastic.

The price of a plugin will depend on the value you give it.
So, for me Soothe is a very good deal.

As @baldman says, the best advice I can give you is to try them out.
You can download a trial version and play with it for 20 days, that's enough for a correct test.

Thanks for the info Phloopy

They sale will be long gone by then

I have both Soothe and Spiff and find them very useful in certain situations. The effect is not dramatic (unless you dial in extreme settings), it is really quite transparent and subtle.

If you want it and can afford it then it's a good purchase. Is it an essential purchase? Of course not.

Sucks that they don't discount 50%, I'd most likely buy it at that price, but the current sale price is too much for me personally. I'd rather keep making shitposts in soother hyperventilation plz R2R plz threads, let's enjoy another year of those :mates:

As you can see the opinions are divided.
I think it is an essential tool, for other people, no.

We don't work all in the same way.
    Our needs are different.

It is for this reason that I recommend that you try it before to really be sure that this investment will be good for you and for your workflow.

Hope I'm not repeating but how does this compare to Gullfoss? It seems that one might have more features?

These are 2 completely different tools :

    - Gullfoss is an equalizer that intelligently adjusts its settings at every moment to improve the clarity of your audio signal.
    - Soothe2 is a dynamic resonance suppressor, it can be used to reduce harshness, sibilance and mud from the sound sources.

So I guess if you know how to work your excisting EQ, compression & de-essing tools to get rid of those, you don't really need Soothe.
If your dealing with lots of sub-optimal recordings and lacking time, it'll help & speed up your work.

I think that was before the update to version 2. So you had to buy an upgrade for 50$, so you'd pay 150 for the full Soothe 2 if you didn't want to stick with the version 1.

I believe that the disagree emoji should only be employed in tandem with an explaination on why it was used. It is useless any other way.
