Is the Oxford Fraunhofer Pro-Codec still relevant in 2025? Is it worth buying and what is its use in mastering today? I would like your opinion, and the differences with NUGEN Mastercheck

Hi @HammerTiMe, you can also use this tool; it's much more affordable.
    dBpoweramp Music Converter - €43 [www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm]
    - Convert mp3, m4a (iTunes & iPod), WMA, WAV, AIFF, AAC, FLAC, Apple Lossless (ALAC) to name a few.

There are also three compelling arguments against the Sonnox tool:

Streaming platforms today use more sophisticated, dynamic encoding methods.
Most services normalize audio data and use adaptive streaming, making codec-specific adjustments less important.
If you're using a modern DAW, you already have all the important codecs built in.
