Cabinet Of Curiosities
25 tuned plastic mouth-horns, or 'Kazoos'. Made by Suzuki. What were they used for? We don't know. There is very little information to be found online about this curiosity.
Soniccouture user Josh Prager got in touch with us about them - he'd had them for about ten years, and thought it might be a good idea if we record them. So here they are.
Recorded in stereo with 5 round robins per note, the Kontaktinstrument doesn't sound as silly as the name might suggest. Roll off the attack, lower the filter cutoff and you've got an atmospheric horn-pad synth instrument. Our custom KSP interface adds controls to increase the number of kazoos in the 'section', with options for adding pitch instability and variable note-off levels.

About these free Kontakt libraries, can they be dl from the official website and used in a cracked Kontakt?
It might sound insulting to the creator, but that is my situation.

Very interesting instrument; it sound like a combo of harmonica or accordion and horn or trumpet; unique sound and with, for example, long plate reverb preset, very melancholic. The actual samples are from G2 to G4, but they are stretched across the keyboard and may I say very acceptable in the bass part. Thank you for this, phloopy!

it's not at all what i think of when i hear the word kazoo. i'm thinking of the old comb and tissue paper deal where you hummed the tune and it would vibrate and make your lips tingle. from the picture i get the impression that this is more like a bunch of bicycle horns that have a mouthpiece instead of a squeeze bulb. pretty weird, but i'll check it out.
