    Hi All,

As title suggests I was just wondering if anyone has managed to get this plug-in working on XP? Or, is it impossible? I have installed it but can't see it in Cubase and just wondered if there was any type of workaround? Before anyone says "upgrade", I don't have the cash - huge mortgage!

    Cheers

hi there are a few things to try, taking you installed it in a folder cubase can see,

1 remove the plugin from your plugin folder and rescan your plugins then put it back and rescan

2 move it into a other folder and add this folder to the cubase plugins list then rescan

    3 try reinstalling kick

also check the blacklist and see if its there,
you could also try install the demo version and see if it works,

It also might be time to consider upgrading OS's. XP is quite dated... I myself valued it as being windows most stable os's ever built but today the support for software is non exsistant and will become more obsolete every release.

You can find some dirt cheap second hand windows 7 copy, if you want to stay legal.
And Windows 7 support will last longer than your computer

As a computer tech, i would not advice anyone using non supported software on their OS. It is not dangerous, but cumbersome.
May be some unexpected and unsolved bugs will raise, with no support at all from companies. Even as legit owner. That's what "unsupported" mean.
It may work, or you may hit your head on the wall

    Two solutions :
-Windows 7 or 8 second hand copy
-Stay with XP, and using compatible software...and so, "old" software only.

Everything else is just loosing precious time on Earth

this is the system requirements for kick so you fine to use it on win xp.

    System Requirements
    Windows
Windows 7 , Windows XP, Windows Vista (32 Bit)
Intel Core Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2, 512 MB RAM

    Mac Osx
Mac OS X 10.6 or later (32/64 Bit), Intel Core Duo, 512 MB RAM (No PPC)

    ANA comes in 2 formats
    Windows - VST 32/64 Bit
Mac OSX - VST & AU 32/64 Bit

id check to see if its installed in the right folder like momo said.
or possibly you installed the x64 version by mistake when your using a 32bit host.

Where? Most of these 'dirt cheap' copies are MSDN licenses, not for use by 'general public' which will deactivate themselves within weeks. The rest are fake.
Not quite likely, HW usually works for 7+ years. Win7 support ends in 2020. *yes*

There's no such thing as second hand Windows. You can buy a computer with OEM license or unused DVD disc that can be used on any machine, but once activated it's no longer possible to move the license. *no*
