Dunno i never understand Discovery so far, but its actual straight forward design and the sounds can be quite raw.
Its one of these softsynth, which have a very distinct character. I mean Disocvery is modeled after the Nordlead2 as i read right on a topic over at KVRaudio. At it does comes quite close.

So what do u think still has its place in the vst folder?

I used to be a registered user. I loved the clean interface and raw sound, but I couldn't afford to keep up with the updates.

Poorly modeled. A real Nord Lead 2 sounds way much better.

its the best emulation u can get for a NL and im not speaking about installing reaktor to the ensemble?

Hardware alsways sounds better, wonder when this change? but then people will complain its not the same to have knobs in your hand etc.

Also a NL is quite expensive, while Discovery came like 70€ for me as i bought it. So its still very nice.
