I remember a few years back R2R got really pissed about releases by other groups that relied on their work. After that they didn't release for awhile. Recently I saw a Studio One release by "TRAZOR" that uses R2R's keygen. I've also seen several EW releases by Decibelle that obviously rely on R2R's work. I'm grateful for these releases, but I thought this sort of thing was prohibited at sister site? Am I misunderstanding something?

I should also mention the current reason for my concern... I was originally under the impression R2R was doing the East West stuff. Since Decibelle started releasing EW I haven't seen R2R show up with anything. So I'm wondering if they're just resting up, or are they angry with the scene again, or maybe they had an agreement with Decibelle? I'm confused!

 

They most definitely aren't angry. They even encouraged other groups to release the libraries. We don't have any clue about the TRAZOR release making them angry too.

Maybe they are resting, maybe they got bored.

As far as I think DECIBELLE belongs to their 'suppliers'. So he is doing it FOR R2R if he releases EW libraries.

 

Would be awesome to see a documentary about how all these dev teams worked together, against each other and behind the scenes to bring audio software to the masses.

 

Funtime, Decibelle and R2R work together. R2R doesn't have problems in AZ since they stopped their "sharing" via Sunny or fantastic or audiostrike ... Do you remember that they were making money with R2R work? Well R2R is not angry anymore, they just rest from time to time.
