[Solved] Libraries showing as Demo in Komplete Kontrol

    Hope this thread fits in here because it may be just a OSX users thing...

    I just installed latest Kontakt 6.4.0 from sister site and works fine. There’s no beta reminder as in the previous release so hands up.:bow:

    However all my libraries are now in demo mode when I run them through komplete kontrol.

    If I just run Kontakt 6 plugin or standalone they run properly but if I try to play libraries from Komplete Kontrol plugin or standalone they show up as demo.

    I've tried uninstalling KK deleting deleting app, plugins and preferences and then reinstalling it without success yet.

    All my libraries used to work fine in KK with previous Kontakt releases (6.3.2 and previous 6.4.0 beta timing bug) and seems that something messed up with this one. :dunno:

    Any thoughts?

    This is because Komplete Kontrol uses Kontakt VST to load sounds, however in this install the VST is on 6.4.2 and is not currently patched. Works only for Kontakt AU and Standalone users.

    Hope a patched vst gets released anytime soon

    Finally I got it to work

    I reinstalled 5.8.0 kd, replaced .component and .vst
    In Komplete Kontrol, first checked in preferences the Always use latest version of NI plugins, then hit rescan.
    Then I unchecked this option and hit rescan again.

    I'm keeping 5.6.0 app to load libraries

    Now I can load everything fine in KK without being Demo anymore:bow:

    Tough months are gone:rofl:
