I'm having the same problem but just with recent R2R keygens--specifically Overloud THU--I tried an older keygen and it runs fine--I've turned off all security settings

last time i tried some #KG's , some files were deleted automatically by the windows defender, but i solved this by doing the following:

if you are on latest windows 10:

-go to "Windows Defender Security Center"
    -click "Virus & threat protection"
-then on the right/main page click "virus & threat protection settings"
-then you should see "Real time protection" with a switch set to "on"
-click that switch to set it to "OFF"
    -click ok & confirm

something i have noticed in the past two years: there is definitely someone out there at fucking MICROSOFT trying to hide that option by redesigning the pages and the GUI of this lame Windows Defencer Security Center bullshit before releasing major update to windows 10; at some point some tutorials you will find about that on youtube that are more than 1 year old or other tutorials on other websites are no longer valid and are misleading because some motherfucking annoying fuck at Microsoft decided to change the design and change location of that stupid real time virus protection annoying setting shit with every major update of win10.

    fuck you microsoft

SOLVED HERE 'Hey, Guys, It is so simple to run Key Gen at Windows 10 Pro N etc. Platform. if it is blocked due to some threats warning simply go to "Windows defender Security Center>Virus & threat Protection>Threat History> open history you'll find threatining file> click on it and click at the Allow button. that's it. now you can run KGen. install and activate Corel X7. Enjoy it.

Install 7zip. Then extract the keygen to a folder then open the exe as administrator if nothing else works. My antivirus once blocked a keygen and I was not able to open any r2r keygens. I did this and it worked.

This seems a common problem, and it's highly likely that Windows re-enables some things no matter what you do in a very... let's say "stubborn" way (I don't feel like swearing before the first Friday's beer).

There're several ways to avoid this, but I really recommend you guys these nice little apps. They're free, trustworthy, safe, easy, portable, analog-warmth-vinta.satu.retro.mojo-sounding. They even make you want to be a better person... ok, perhaps I don't need beers today

Anyway, you may want to check out these two:
    https://www.sordum.org/9480/defender-control-v1-6/
    https://www.sordum.org/9470/windows-update-blocker-v1-5/

There're more really cool ones on that site but with these two you can easily avoid the problem of unwanted Windows Defender deletions.

Also, someone before mentioned an important thing: keep a copy of the keygen/patch that in a format Windows Defender (any AV) can't delete. This means the original rar/zip or whatever works for you. Well, watch out with zip's without password, some AVs may scan them.

    Simple Solution.........
    No third party software needed!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay so if youve disabled Windows security like most of us do as its utterly WORTHLESS
    Renable it just for this...
    Goto
WINDOWS SECURITY TYPE IT IN THE RUN BOX
Then click on virus & threat protection
    then goto exclusions
and add the folder your crack is in
and hey presto you can now run your crack without Windows stopping you

Defender blocks alot of stuff, you might have to make exclusions in the folder you run them from to stop it.

This is a bit old, but,
    Don't hesitate using windows powershell...
You can control every single windows parameter, from there

Because windows defender no longer has a Gui, in both win10 or win11,
Using powershell will give access to ALL windows defender settings (as well as firewall, etc etc)
For example, via simple commands, you can exclude folders from being scanned by windows defender

For example, you have ALL your r2r/vr/etc files you have downloaded, here:
    d:\music\audioz-downloads
    e\backups\2020-2021\audioz-backup

You can open a powershell session, and simply type + enter
    Set-MpPreference -ExclusionPath "d:\music\audioz-downloads"
    Then,
    Set-MpPreference -ExclusionPath "e\backups\2020-2021\audioz-backup"

Now, those 2 paths/ folders will be excluded from real-time windows defender scan

Now, imagine that, for some reason, windows defender is active, and you try to access a networked computer and folder:
    \\network-computer1\drive d\backups\2021\audio\r2r-VR-etc\tested-work great

The moment you access a file, like a zip or rar, on the remote computer, that contains a keygen or a file that windows defender detects as a threat, windows defender could DELETE that file, even PERMANENTLY, and you could say bye bye to that precious installer or keygen.

Well, via powershell, we can easily disable the real-time scans, via the network, by simply typing this + enter
    Set-MpPreference -DisableScanningNetworkFiles 1

Now, no more risk to see windows defender permanently destroy our precious network files.

Yes, powershell is amazing, and there is a ton of info available on the internet, forums, Microsoft, etc, for every single command.
Every single bit of windows, from network to virus to firewall to accessibility to folders to pretty much ALL windows settings, can be controlled via poweshell commands or scripts.
Often, there literally are hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of options, but the main panel, window, etc, only allow us to control a few select settings

This is actually *isn't a sure-fire solution, as Win10 has a bad habit of disregarding your clicking on the "Restore" option, as though its a completely dead/grayed-out action. I thought I'd check this thread because none of the solutions that I used historically are working, but as it turns out, I've already tried everything in this thread.
Good thing it's not 2023 and Win10 isn't still troublesome AF. :suicide:
