Hi everyone :D Hope you won't mind helping me with this question.

I am trying to find this free software I used to use that was specifically made for extracting the contents from corrupted or incomplete RAR and zipped files. However, I seem to have forgotten entirely what it was named and would really appreciate if anyone could name me some products to help jog my memory.

Thank you for the help. It is much appreciated.
    Best regards :D!!

    You don't need software.

It's possible to repair a zip file merely by doing this!

Open an administrator Command Prompt window.
Change directories to the folder where the corrupted Zip file is located.
    Type: "C:\Program Files\WinZip\wzzip" -yf zipfile.zip.
    Press Enter on the keyboard.

I found that a while back on google.

Also, in WinRAR, if you right-click then Extract Files... under Miscellaneous there's an option to Keep broken files

    QuickPar or some such?

PAR files can replace missing Rars, if you have them.

I haven't used WinZIP since about 2000... only WinRAR and 7-ZIP on Windows. File-Roller and command-line RAR in Linux. WinZIP have even then become a bloated POS. I can only imagine it now. RAR is also used for two reasons: repair feature for corrupted files [from recovery record] and lossless WAV compression. ZIP is pretty much useless these days, but some companies and some people still insist on it for some unknown reason. I mean 7-ZIP is much better and it's free. RAR command-line can be used for free, too.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I found it. It's a freeware called Extract Now and allowed me to archived contents from corrupted rar's that couldn't be repaired.

Thanks again for the help :D!
